Meet Professional Wakeboarder Scott Byerly! He’ll be at the Lauderdale Lakes Marina display on Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th!
Scott Byerly has consistently been at the forefront of the wakeboarding industry through his innovate ability to progress the sport in ways never thought possible. Through a decade of progressive tricks, board designs, artist board graphics and contest formats, Scott has always embodied the unconventional aspects of the sport. His unique style and vision helped create the sport’s recognition worldwide.
Meet Professional Wakeboarder Darin Shapiro!
Darin will be at the Tinus Marine display on Saturday and Sunday of the first weekend, January 16-17 representing his line of wake surfers and towables.
Darin is “the most winning rider in the history of the sport.” Some of his accomplishments include 6x Pro Tour Champ, 4x Masters Champ, 4x World Champ, 3x X Games Gold Medal winner and 2x X Games Silver medal winner. Darin owns the premier wakeboarding camp, Ride the Spot, which hosts 250-300 students per year from around the world. He also produces instructional DVD’s for the wakeboarding industry through his own production company. In the off season Darin spends the winter months surfing at his place in Kauai, HI. He is truly a legend in the sport.

New for the touring group is the aerial launching kick boards that allow these athletes to catch air and perform advanced stunts that they crave to perform in the summer on their favorite lakes.

Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel is back.
The Internationally famous Best family returns to Milwaukee with this incredible performance by their typically tree climbing friend. Smiles abound whenever Twiggy performs, enjoyed by children of all ages. This feature will be scheduled Wednesday Jan 20 thru the close of the Show on Sunday Jan 24.

USS WISCONSIN Nuclear Sub!
The USS WISCONSIN is the only float of its kind in the mid-west and will be on display throughout the show. The 620 lb. vessel was built by members of The Great Lakes Base Chapter of the United States Submarine Veterans right in Southeast, WI. It has surfaced to “honor all who have served” in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Maries, Coast Guard and MIA’s. The vessel was completed in the fall of 2008 and is a one-tenth scale replica of the USS SKIP JACK (SSN)…the first nuclear powered submarine to use the “Tear Drop” hull design, which provided increased speed and maneuverability. Today, all US submarines use this design.

It has been said that Rob was brain washed to love fishing. It must be true because there is nothing more difficult than getting him off the water. He spends countless hours searching for trout and salmon in the Great Lakes. Considering himself a brown trout enthusiast, he has caught many fish in the twenty pound range. Rob also spends much of his time promoting the sport and teaching people how to kayak fish the Great Lakes.

Wisconsin Scale Boats – Meet the model boat enthusiasts and view their unique display of boats located in the West Concourse. Association Members will be on hand to answer any questions and demonstrate their crafts.
National Weather Service will conduct workshops on reading and preparing for foul weather situations for all Boaters. They will be demonstrating how boaters can easily get weather information from our local office web site, as well as the national NWS site, and other NWS offices with marine forecast and warning responsibility to brief them before setting out or to get the information at the marina with the expansion of wireless internet at many locations.
The National Weather Service will feature the NWS Great Lakes web site that is a one-stop web site for weather forecast information, current observations, weather watches and warnings in the Great Lakes region for both boaters and land-based folks.
They will be featuring information about an upgraded rip current forecast program that will be going into effect this upcoming summer season. They will have a display of NOAA All-Hazards Weather radios that are available…from table top models to portable hand-held models that can go anywhere. NOAA All-Hazards radios can alert you to approaching severe weather as well as provide a 24-hour source for all your weather information.
Antique & Classic Boats – The Glacier Bay Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society of America will bring in the best of their show quality restorations.
The Badger State Outboard Association Display
Wisconsin Water Ski Federation - displays their triple powered tow boat and discusses their plans for the 2010 season.
